Non-Freeze Roof Hydrant

For freeze-resistant reliability in all climates, the valve housing and 3/4″ inlet of this roof hydrant are positioned in the warm area below the roof. Water is channeled to the hydrant’s locking cast iron head and 3/4″ hose connection through galvanized casing that is secured to roof decking and waterproofing materials with flashing and underdeck clamps for leakproof installation. To clear the valve casing and protect it from bursting in freezing temperatures, it is drilled and tapped with a 1/8″ drain hole which must be piped to a drain location.
